You can't save anywhere but you can save in checkpoints and whatnot, and the game constantly saves your progress if you turn on auto saving. Honestly, they're just pushing the use of emulators more and more and this game should probably only be bought for the menus and special features. So you have to go to the shops to save the game? How do the checkpoints work? Is it one per stage, or does it work like Sonic, where you have to find them?Īlso, MM10 aside it seems like a really cheap way to bash people who are new to the MM series and don't want to die 100000000000 times before completing the games.
The shops in these titles also feature automatic saves from pitfalls and spikes (Beat and Shock Absorb). MM10 features an easy mode that removes 90% of the pits and spike threats, while also providing additional damage buffs.
