However, since you never had a problem for years, I don't really think you will have any problem in the next several years as well. The thing that worries me about something else doing it instead of me is that any issues in the logs I may have wanted to look at are gone, and can never be got back. I have done this for years now with no issues. Login every so often I clear my event viewer logs out after checking them out.
